Getting started
What Zanda Hire is, who uses it, how to sign in, and how to find your way around.
What is Zanda Hire?
Zanda Hire is a single platform for running an equipment-hire business — including re-rent (sub-hiring machines from other suppliers to meet demand you can’t cover from your own fleet). It manages the whole lifecycle under one brand: catalogue & availability, rental requests, quotes, bookings, delivery & collection, on-hire, off-hire & return, inspections, invoicing, payment, and reconciliation.
It is built Zambia-first: sales can be fiscalised to ZRA Smart Invoice, customers pay by Mobile Money (MTN, Airtel, Zamtel) or card, approved accounts hire on credit, and the field app keeps working with no signal and syncs later.
Tip · Why one platform matters
When you sub-hire to meet demand, true cost versus price is easy to lose across spreadsheets and WhatsApp — and margin quietly leaks. Zanda Hire keeps owned and hired-in equipment, the money, and the compliance in one place.
Who uses it
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Customer | Hires equipment: browses, requests, accepts quotes, tracks bookings, pays. |
| Supplier | Offers machines for re-rent, runs jobs, submits invoices, tracks payouts. |
| Asset owner / finance partner | Owns machines run under revenue-share or finance agreements. |
| Hire desk / sales | Turns demand into quotes and bookings; sources owned vs re-rent. |
| Dispatch | Schedules delivery & collection; captures proof; handles failures. |
| Finance | Invoices, payments, deposits, payouts, ZRA submission, credit control. |
| Field operator / mechanic | On-site: assignments, timesheets, inspections, breakdowns (offline). |
| Administrator | Runs the platform: users, pricing, compliance, risk, operations, audit. |

Important · Test accounts only
These are weak-password demo accounts — keep them inside the team and never use them on a real production tenant. Don’t put real customer, payment, or personal data into the test system.
Finding your way around
After signing in you land on the workspace launcher — cards for the areas you’re allowed to use (you only see what your role permits). Internal staff can jump between Internal Finance, Internal Console, Field PWA and Manager Dashboards using the Workspace Switcher in the top bar.
